Preview build. Every animal, photograph and event on this site is sample content for a redesign proposal. None of it is Rochester Rascals’ real data.

Put it on your phone

This works like an app once it is on your home screen — its own icon, full screen, no browser bars. There is nothing to download and no app store account needed.

On an iPhone or iPad

  • Open this page in Safari. This one step matters — Chrome on an iPhone cannot install it.
  • Tap the Share button at the bottom (a square with an arrow going up).
  • Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  • Tap Add. The yellow icon appears with your other apps.

On an Android phone

  • Open this page in Chrome.
  • Tap the menu in the top right.
  • Tap Add to Home screen, or Install app if you see that instead.
  • Tap Install.

Why there is no app store version

Because there does not need to be. An app store version would mean two more codebases to keep in step, an annual Apple developer fee, and a review queue every time a wording change goes out. This way one thing gets built, everybody gets the same thing on whatever phone they already own, and a fix is live the moment it is made rather than a week later.

What it can do once installed

  • Open full screen from your home screen, like any other app.
  • Open even with no signal, and show what you looked at last.
  • Use the camera directly, for team members signed in to upload a photo.
  • Update itself. There is never an update to install.
